Louise Vincent was a fierce advocate, a leader in the harm reduction movement and one of Jess Tilley’s closest friends. Their relationship was built through years of friendship, shared work and a commitment to standing alongside people who use drugs with dignity, love and an unwillingness to accept the way our systems too often treat them.

We lost Louose in 2025, but the impact she had on the people who loved her and on the movement she helped shape continues. A recent article from Prism tells the story of Louise’s life, activism and extraordinary contribution to harm reduction.
